Disney’s “Pocahontas”, I love the film and it has a lovely soundtrack, but it has nothing on this film, absolutely nothing. The New World may seem incredibly dull to some, but I found this film to be moving, beautiful and the best film about Pocahontas in her life, even if half of it is fictional, or so as claimed to be. If you like historical romance drama films and Native American history, this film is worth a watch.
This! While I loved Disney’s Pocahontas as a child… as I grew up I actually grew to resent John Smith in that movie.
The feelings shown and interweave into The New World was beautiful.
My brain acquires feeling through sound… and the score was beautiful.
Gonna re-watch this movie soon.
